As an educational institution, East Riding College is subject to a rigorous inspection regime to ensure our standards remain high.
Ofsted, the government body charged with monitoring educational standards, rated us as a "good" college following our last inspection in 2007 - read the Ofsted report pdficon_small.gif (pdf 432kb). This is the second highest rating awarded by Ofsted.
Our ambition is to be rated "excellent" - the highest rating - at our next full inspection, which is due in 2010, and we are working hard to achieve this.
An interim inspection, known as a monitoring visit, in the spring of 2008 found that we were improving in all the areas Ofsted had identified for development. Read the report pdficon_small.gif (pdf 19kb).

Like other schools and colleges, East Riding College is also subject to other inspections and surveys, and shares good practice with others. This is a report pdficon_small.gif (pdf 46kb) from an inspector who came to see how our Leisure, Travel and Tourism section performs.
