Many of our students gain experience in their chosen subject by working for members of the public. People are welcome to come to East Riding College and get a hair cut or beauty treatment, a delicious meal or even a holiday. The prices are good and there's a lot of talent among our students.

Archers and Longcroft Hall Restaurants
The Longcroft Hall Restaurant at our Beverley campus features a 40-seater dining room with bar, which is served from professional kitchens. Catering students hone their skills by cooking up gorgeous food while their colleagues on Food and Drink Service courses serve it to the customers. The students prepare and serve meals during college term times from Tuesday to Friday for lunch service and on Thursday evenings. Reservations are recommended. At our Bridlington campus is the Archers restaurant, a fully licensed eaterie with a 40-seater dining room. Like the Westwood restaurant, it is run by learners and has theme nights which are popular with Bridlington residents. It is open from Wednesday to Friday for lunch service and on Thursday evenings during term times. Reservations are recommended. Please call 01262 455063 to avoid disappointment.
Inspire Hair & Beauty
At East Riding College, our students learn the skills they need to become a successful hair stylist or beauty therapist. They work to challenging standards and are supervised by highly qualified and experienced staff. Our aim is to provide you with the kind of relaxing and enjoyable experience you would expect from any high street salon.
The hairdressing and beauty therapy salons are well equipped and maintained to high standards, and our reception areas are welcoming and comfortable. To make an appointment, call into the salon at our campus in Gallows Lane, Beverley or ring 01482 306667 or visit the salon at our campus in St Mary's Walk, Bridlington or call 01262 455044. Your hair or beauty treatment will be carried out by a student, supervised by a member of staff. The prices are listed according to the level at which the learner is studying and the higher the level, the more accomplished the student will be.

New Horizons
The New Horizons travel shop at our Bridlington campus provides a range of holidays, short breaks and events, such as concerts.
It is also the sole agent in Bridlington for National Express coaches, providing direct services to destinations such as London and the Midlands. Call 01262 455021 for more information.
The Energize Fitness Suite
The Energize Fitness Suite at the Bridlington campus in St Mary's Walk is now open to the public on a trial basis until the end of the summer term 2010. Until now, it has been exclusively for student use but now health conscious residents can take advantage of the excellent facilities.
Located in the College's new £17m campus, the gym boasts the latest in cardiovascular and resistance equipment, with a fantastic range of rowing machines, bikes and weights. It is staffed by fully qualified instructors who will conduct a fitness assessment with new members and develop a personal exercise programme tailored to their needs.
The suite is open to people aged 18 and over (proof of age may be requested) from 5pm to 8pm Monday to Thursday during term time only. The "pay as you go" price is £3.00 per session but longer term membership options are available.
