Confidential counselling and advice
Everyone needs someone to talk to at some point in their life and this might be while you're at College.
We believe we have a duty to help you, so we offer an advice and guidance service and, where necessary, the support of a professional counsellor. These services are confidential and are available to all learners.
Help with making a decision
If you're not sure what course you want to do and you want some help making a decision, come and see our guidance services team or talk to them on the phone.
When you're at the College and thinking of moving into higher education or employment, they can offer you specialist advice and guidance about your future.
Financial help
There may be grants, bursaries and student loans available to help you financially while you're at East Riding College. They will vary according to the type of course you're interested in and your individual circumstances.
Some learners may also qualify for support with child care and travel costs. Our advice and guidance staff can tell you more. They can also tell you how to apply for financial support from your local authority.
Additional needs
The College welcomes and supports all learners with additional needs and disabilities. Please tell us about your needs so we can give you full support and guidance. We will respect your request for confidentiality.
Child care
Help with child care costs may be available. The College works with a range of nurseries and registered childminders. The Bridlington site is close to the new East Riding Children's Centre which may have places available.
