East Riding College was awarded the prestigious Training Quality Standard (TQS), the most challenging accolade training providers can earn, in October 2009.
The College - which provides training for large and small organisations locally, regionally and nationally - achieved the standard after a rigorous assessment process which followed a year of working to meet the criteria laid down by TQS.
The standard, established by the Learning and Skills Council, aims to help employers to know which organisations can deliver high quality training to them and helps training providers by offering a measure of how well they are performing.
It focuses on quality, impact and continuous improvement in areas such as responsive service delivery; focusing on business needs; development and deployment of expertise; and continuous improvement and learning.
