Transport to College
Free transport to East Riding College
Fully funded travel is available to full-time 16 to 18-year-old learners living more than two miles from their place of study in 2011/12. Funding is available for the following on those days when attendance at College or placement is required:
1. Travel by East Yorkshire Motor Services (EYMS) buses. This includes services in the East Riding, Hull and North Yorkshire, including Scarborough and Filey
2. Travel on dedicated College services BC4 (starting in Withernsea) and BC8 (starting in Gilberdyke)
3. Travel by train or other public transport if an EYMS service or the BC4 and BC8 are not available
Everyone who applies for a full-time course starting in September 2011 will be sent a form to enable them to apply for free transport to College. Support is at the discretion of the College and subject to satisfactory attendance. Travel on EYMS buses must involve the use of a discount card issued by the College via EYMS.
Separate arrangements are in place for those learners aged 19 and over, please call 0845 120 0037 for more information.
