New campus projects
The construction of two new campuses in Bridlington and Beverley forms a crucial part of our plans for the future of East Riding College. Our new campus in Bridlington opened in September 2009 and we are looking at possible funding sources to make our relocation plans in Beverley a reality.
The new campus at our site in St Mary's Walk in Bridlington (pictured above) has 44 teaching rooms - ranging from top-of-the-range standard rooms with the latest in teaching technology to entirely new commercial areas like hair and beauty salons and construction workshops. Facilities also include an extensive Learning Resource Centre, which combines library and IT facilities, a fitness suite and a new sports pitch with changing facilities.
In Beverley, we have selected a site in Flemingate as our preferred location. Our aim is to move closer to the thriving centre of Beverley, with the added benefit of improved transport links. We are working with the site developers and East Riding of Yorkshire Council to explore funding possibilities for our plans for this site.
