Fun events kick off new term for students

Students at East Riding College got their year off to a fun start with the annual induction fairs.
The event is held at the Beverley and Bridlington campuses as part of induction week, which helps new students familiarise themselves with the College.
This year saw a live band called Young Jack from the College’s Hull-based music courses, a live DJ, a range of sporting activities and a car crash simulator, as well as stalls from organisations including Samaritans, the army, the No Smoking Team and International Volunteering Services.

Enrichment officer Tracy Underwood, who organised the events, said: “Our students had a great time at the induction fairs and we got some excellent feedback from the organisations who attended.
“Coming to College is a big step for many young people and it’s important that they have the chance to settle in to their new environment before they focus on their course.”

East Riding College is accepting limited enrolments for the 2014/15 academic year. For more information, call 0845 120 0037.
