Choose your course at open events

Future students of all ages can find out more about what East Riding College has to offer at three open events this month.
They are aimed at young people and adults who are thinking about studying for BTEC diplomas, A-levels, apprenticeships, traineeships, degrees and other courses from September 2015.
They are also an opportunity to find out about the range of full and part-time courses which start in February, including full-time courses for young people who are not currently in education or anyone who would simply like to start a course now.
The open events are a chance to talk to tutors, discuss course options and have a look round the College's well-equipped and modern learning environments.

They will be held as follows:

  • Tuesday January 20 – Gallows Lane, Beverley, 4pm to 7pm
  • Tuesday January 20 – St James Street, Hull, 4pm to 7pm, specifically for music and performing arts courses
  • Tuesday, January 27 – St Mary's Walk, Bridlington, 4pm to 7pm

Principal Derek Branton said: "January is traditionally a time when people give a lot of thought to their future direction, especially their career and next steps in education.
“Our open events are an opportunity to find out more about courses you are interested in and to look at our excellent teaching and learning facilities.
“If you are unsure about your future direction, our guidance officers can help you make a decision and talk to you about issues such as finance and learning support.”

There will be tutors present from all subject areas who will answer questions and chat about the courses, as well as help with completing application forms.
