Report December 2009

The girls are now beginning to look like a team and having merged with Bridlington School Sports College this hasn't been easy. The girls are now playing well and although we have had capable players from the start they are now beginning to support each other and are beginning to guess each other's game.
The all round ability of Chloe Smyrk who is a very capable player in any position has given the team a strong backbone and this is aided by the centre and attack players Mel Honess, Laura Horton, Hollie Blakeston and Lauren Coleman who never seem to tire!! A word has to be mentioned for the duo in defence Rebecca Bolton and Charlotte Hall who, although have never played together before, have gelled well and are beginning to show a high standard of blocking and switching defensive techniques. Last but not least the shooters Savannah Kendrick and Madisson Holtby who, with little training, have given us some outstanding goals so far this season.
After a tough start he team is now beginning to merge towards a good attacking side that will begin picking up some results very soon, it is so pleasing to see so much natural ability.
