East Riding College 9 - 0 Wyke College 4th
East Riding College 2nd team made a great start to the season with a 9-0 win. This was a great achievement having never played together as a team. Players bonded well and at the break were 5-0 up. Jason Batley and Jonathon Hall Atkinson worked well together up front and scored four between them before the break. Ben Baines added another goal for the fifth. After the break confidence was high and the team began to play some good passing football. Midfield duo Ivan and Tom Nicolson added another three to the total tally and Russell Cowton completed the rout with the ninth of the game, when a corner from Ivan was met at the near post by Cowton. The team deserved the victory and showed good potential for the forthcoming season

Scarborough 6th Form 3 - 2 East Riding College
East Riding College 2nd team suffered a bitter blow in the last minute when opponents Scarborough 6th Form sneaked a winner after a hard fought game that was destine for a draw. The final score finished 3-2. ERC took the lead 1-0 when Ben Baines' shot curled round the keeper, having hit it with the outside of his foot. Scarborough pulled it back and then took the lead in the second half. ERC levelled things up when Tom Nicholson's long throw troubled the sixth form defence and eventually ended up in the back of the net, courtesy of an own goal. A draw would have been a fair result but a counter attack by sxith form in the last minute left the defence short at the back and the shot beat the keeper leaving the players disappointed.
