Can you lead one of our successful curriculum teams?  The responsibilities will include curriculum planning and development, quality assurance, planning and managing budgets and physical resources and contributing to the corporate management of the College.

You must demonstrate substantial curriculum area knowledge and teaching experience; curriculum management of 14-19/adult provision/apprenticeships; be able to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning, analyse critical data and understand funding methodologies. You must be educated to degree level or equivalent and hold a teaching qualification. 

You will be required to work at the new Beverley campus, Bridlington and our small, recently refurbished Hull site.  Relocation expenses available.

East Riding College is looking to appoint a Curriculum Leader to lead on the development of curriculum delivery within the Engineering area, in particular in developing the HNC Mechanical Engineering curriculum. 

Applicants must have:

  • Recent relevant teaching experience within the curriculum area Specifically within mechanical engineering with emphasis on Level 4 units including maintenance and renewables 
  • Proven experience of teaching/course leader in HNC/HND mechanical engineering
  • Demonstrate curriculum development in FE
  • Consistent teaching observation grades of Good or better.
  • Consistency of analysing course level data to achieve outstanding success

Applicants will hold:

  • Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy
  • Level 3 qualification in subject related  teaching mechanical / electronic Engineering 
  • Hold D34/V1 qualifications (TAQA)

Applicants must hold or be willing to study towards

  • Higher level qualification - HNC, degree or other Level 4, 5 qualification
  • Teaching Qualification – PTLLS or equivalent Cert Ed/PGCE 

Although this post will be based at the Beverley site, there will be a need to travel to the other College sites.
