East Riding College is looking to appoint Learning Support Advisors to assist academic staff in providing effective educational opportunities and personal care support for learners with additional needs and/or disabilities.

Applicants will have experience of delivering learning support within an educational setting and have specialist knowledge in a range of additional needs.  Experience of supporting learners with personal care needs is desirable but not essential.

Applicants will hold minimum Level 2 English and Mathematics, and possess or be willing to work towards Level 3 qualification in learning support and a moving and handling qualification.

These vacancies are at the Beverley and Bridlington sites.

The Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy, Hospitality and Retail area is looking to appoint a highly motivated Curriculum Leader to lead on the development of curriculum delivery with the Beauty Therapy area. 

Applicants must have recent relevant teaching experience within the curriculum area, experience of course  management procedures, monitoring targets, and the ability to demonstrate curriculum development in FE.

Applicants must hold a degree or equivalent professional/vocational qualification relevant to Beauty Therapy;  a teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE); a minimum Level 3 qualification in a subject related to teaching Beauty Therapy; Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy; and D34/V1 qualifications (TAQA).

This post will be based at the Bridlington site.

East Riding College is looking to appoint a Client Services Assistant to work three evenings per week during term time at the Beverley site, to provide a high level of customer service to all external and internal customers.  You will provide reception cover to support the College's Learner Services processes.  The role will include switchboard and enquiry handling and other support functions incorporating learner applications, enrolments and various systems relating to financial and welfare support.

Applicants will have recent and relevant experience of working in a front line customer service environment, clerical and administration experience and experience of dealing with enquiries in person, by telephone and in writing.  Intermediate level IT skills to include word processing, spreadsheets and databases are essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and to organise and prioritise your work load.

Applicants will be educated to Level 2 or equivalent and will hold or be willing to work towards Level 2 Customer Service or an Administration qualification.

Hours of work are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 4.30pm - 7.30pm term time only.
