Dealing with Change in the Workplace
This course is designed to introduce the Union Reps to tools and methods used for coping with and supporting members through unexpected or unwanted changes in the workplace, including redundancy, downsizing and the introduction of new technologies. It will give Reps an understanding of some of the negative effects change can have on members and how to recognise these. It will look at the Rep’s role during the change process and identify positive strategies that can be used to support members. It will also introduce methods used to build the resilience that will help both the Rep and their members through the change process.
