Cyber Security for Business

 

This Government backed course is for staff in micro, small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs). It helps employees and business owners understand information security risks and how to protect against fraud and cyber-crime.

 

The advice will help you to protect your:

  • business information
  • cash flow

This course is held on Thursday 8 March, 1pm to 4.30pm at Beverley or Monday 19 March, 10.00am to 1.00pm at Bridlington.

What will I study?

This guidance explains the threat from a cyber attack and shows how you can protect your business. It includes advice on:

  • Using strong passwords
  • Updating software
  • Providing simple staff awareness and training
  • Managing risk
  • Using the Cyber Essentials scheme to protect against common online threats
