This course is designed for enthusiastic Trade Union Representatives interested in the history of the movement, where it is now and where it should go in the future.

- Research project
The development of trade unions module covers the economic, social and political history of unions since 1700, including the origins of trade unions, the impact of industrialisation and trade unions and the law. The trade unions today module covers trade unions and the economy, globalisation, the impact of Europe, the law and collective bargaining. The future of trade unions module covers models of trade unionism, European and international trade unionism, and challenges facing the trade union movement going forward.
