Disabled Workers
This course is designed to equip all Union Representatives, Health and Safety Representatives and Equality and Diversity Representatives with advice, information and reference points on disability. It will enable them to represent disabled members and negotiate effectively on their behalf in the workplace.
What will I study?
This course will focus on developing and extending knowledge of the 2010 Equality Act and related legislation to enable Reps to assist disabled members to overcome the barriers and obstacles they face in the workplace and help eliminate all forms of discrimination related to disability. The course will also explore the most effective ways of organising and campaigning on behalf of disabled members.
