This course will look to further develop the basic skills acquired on the Union Representatives Stage 1 course in effectively representing members in the workplace.
What will I study?
It will focus on enhancing the skills and techniques necessary to represent members in individual cases such as Grievance, Disciplinary, Capability and Absence Review meetings, but will also concentrate on developing the learner’s ability to represent members in collective cases such as pay and conditions negotiations and consultation meetings. It will help to develop analytical and communication skills and will also develop skills in interpreting and making best use of Agreements, Policies and Procedures when representing members.
