Joinery for Beginners
This course will deliver an underpinning knowledge in wood occupation.
This course will be offered on 14 January, 6 to 9pm at Beverley Code K0258GXPEA or 15 January, 6 to 9pm at Bridlington Code K0258SXPEB
What will I study?
The course will include theory and practical based work including the selection of correct materials, marking/cutting of materials, knowledge of basic joinery skills.
How will I be assessed?
This is a non accredited course with no exam at the end but the tutor will monitor progress and give feedback.
How will the course be delivered?
A variety of teaching methods will be used to ensure that learners’ individual needs are met.
No previous experience required.
For health and safety legislation you will need to wear safety foot wear (steel toe cap boots / shoes) when attending this course.

The tutor will want to find out as much as possible about why you want to learn and what you already know in order to plan a suitable programme. The content of the course will be discussed and you will be given further details about course materials and other learning resources. Any relevant paperwork will be discussed and completed at this session. Please bring a notebook and pen.
