Level Two AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting (Online)
This qualification covers the basic accounting principles and techniques, these include double-entry bookkeeping, costing and using accounting software.
Your course fee includes all taught classes, all the required study books, an exam kit, pocket notes and additional online material and support.
This course will be offered online. For this, learners will need a device such as a laptop or PC or phone/iPad and a internet connection to take part. Ideally, devices will also have webcams for full participation. Learners will need to download the Teams app onto their laptop/PC or mobile phone/other device and devices will need to have a camera so that they can participate.

What will I study?
The following units:
- Bookkeeping transactions
- Bookkeeping controls
- Elements of costing
- Work effectively in finance - (Foundation Synoptic)
- Using accounting software
In addition to your taught classes you should plan a further 3 hours study each week in your own time to maximise your exam performance.
How will I be assessed?
In order to successfully complete the programme, participants will be expected to undertake a computer-based assessment for each module of learning and a synoptic assessment which draws on content learned in the other units.
How will the course be delivered?
A mixture of lectures, seminars and individual and group work.
Candidates for this course should have relevant work experience in accounts.

The AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting, available at all three East Riding College sites, Beverley, Bridlington and Hull.
