Level Three TAQA Certificate in Assessing Vocational Related Achievement

This qualification is intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (for example a workshop, classroom or other training environment).

What will I study?

In order to gain the Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement you will need to complete a portfolio on the following mandatory units.

  • Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
  • Assess occupational competence in the work environment
  • Assess vocational skills,knowledge and understanding

How will I be assessed?

Your portfolio will be internally and externally moderated.The course has qcf credit value of 15 with Guided learning hours (GLH) of 84 hours.

Entry requirements

You need to demonstrate competency in order to enroll for this course. Competency is assessed by having either experience ( minimum six months) in the subject area you want to assess or at least a qualification at level 3 and above in your subject area.

You will also need to have access to at least two learners who are completing a vocational course. Your interaction and assessment of these two candidates will provide evidence towards your course.
