Level Three NVQ Extended Diploma in Fabrication and Welding
The Level Three NVQ in Fabrication and Welding has been designed for those candidates who are progressing from level two, are training as an welder or fabricator, or people who are thinking about welding or fabrication as a career but who would like some experience of the job role first. It is also appropriate for people who are looking for a career change and wishing to learn new skills.

How will I be assessed?
NVQ assessment will be continuous throughout the programme and will consist of a combination of practical work and portfolio building.
How will the course be delivered?
The qualification is delivered on site at Bridlington, with an assigned trainer consultant who, coordinates training and assessment of knowledge, evidence and observation. Through the candidate’s own experience, improvements are identified and small work-based projects are applied to demonstrate application. A portfolio of evidence and a knowledge base is built to show competence to the awards national standards.
Entry requirements
- NVQ Level Two Fabrication and Welding
- A minimum of four GCSEs at grade C or above including mathematics and a science/technology subject
- Satisfactory College interview
- An initial assessment
What next?
Learners may continue with further specialised qualifications or gain employment following this qualification.
