Level Two AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting

This qualification contains four units and delivers a solid foundation in finance administration and core accounting skills, including double-entry bookkeeping, basic costing and an understanding of purchase, sales and general ledgers.

Classroom based course starts Wednesday 1pm-4pm, 20 September 2023 to 17 July 2024 at St James Centre, St James Street, Hull

alternatively you can study online, starting Tuesday 6pm-9pm, 19 September 2023 to 16 July 2024

For the online course, students must have access to and be expected to use the Microsoft Teams platform and have a microphone and camera to take part in the class.

What will I study?

Students will learn about accountancy related business and personal skills and be introduced to the four key themes embedded in the qualification: ethics, technology, communications and sustainability.

How will I be assessed?

All four units are assessed through a computer-based exam at the end of each study period.

How will the course be delivered?

A mixture of lectures, seminars and individual and group work.

Entry Requirements:

English and Maths GCSE or equivalent.

Students will be interviewed before being offered a place on the course

What next?

The AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting, available at all three East Riding College sites, Beverley, Bridlington and Hull.

Additional information

Students are responsible for paying their own AAT Professional Membership fees directly to the AAT on commencement of the course, the cost is £175.
