Level Two Certificate in Improving Personal Exercise, Health and Nutrition (Distance Learning)

The Level Two Award in Nutrition and Health is a fantastic qualification for anyone wanting to recognise the importance of a healthy lifestyle. The qualification will help learners to identify and develop both their knowledge and skills surrounding diet and health, different nutritions, how to prepare healthy food and which groups of people need which type of diet. This programme will help learners to build up achievements in a way which is appropriate and meaningful.

What will I study?

Part A:

  • Unit one: Explore the principles of healthy eating

Part B:

  • Unit two: Consider nutritional needs of a variety of individuals
  • Unit three: Principles of infection prevention and  control in a health-care setting 

How will I be assessed?

Each candidate will receive their own learning pack which includes learning resources/ information booklets and paper-based assessments, one for each part. Candidates must complete all assessments in the agreed timescales and submit these for marking. Your tutor will then provide feedback, advice and guidance to help you successfully complete the course. 

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements.

What next?

For learners who are not in employment some level three courses are available please discuss with your assessor. For those who complete the course in order to gain employment you could progress to the Level Two Diploma in Health and Social Care.
