Level Two Extended Certificate in Business

This is a level two study programme designed to introduce a range business subjects. It gives learners the knowledge, understanding and skills that they need to prepare for employment or further study.

This course is available as part of a full-time study programme for 16 to 18 year olds, and as a part-time course for adults aged 19 and over.  Please ask learner services for details.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment comprises of a mixture of portfolio building, tests and assignments.  You will also undertake work experience to build up your employability skills.     

How will the course be delivered?

This course is classroom based and you will be encouraged to use our on-line learning resources to further support and develop your knowledge, skills and exam technique away from the classroom. Guest speakers and external business-related activities really bring your business subjects to life.

Entry requirements

  • Four GCSEs grade D/3 and above to include English and Maths
  • Or level one diploma
  • Or introductory diploma
  • Or NVQ level one
  • Or equivalent
  • A satisfactory interview and an initial assessment

What next?

You can progress to Level Three BTEC Diploma in Business or employment in the business, customer service, administration and service industries or an apprenticeship.

Additional information

All study programmes contain English and maths elements.

You will undertake work experience as part of this programme.
