HABC Level Two Award in Food Safety in Catering

At East Riding College we understand the pressures we are all under, so to help in the right direction we will be offering this course at half price during March, April and May, we want to help you get where you need to be  

Whether you are an individual wanting to open your own café or a business that needs staff training updates, or you have decided to change your job role and need training to get you that ideal job, we are going to support you as best we can.

All courses are just one day with an exam, and all are accredited. We can also come to your site to train at your convenience

The aim of this one day regulated qualification is to provide individuals with knowledge of the basic food safety practices that are essential in the catering industry. This includes the hazards and risks to food safety presented by food operations and personnel, together with cost- effective, practical control measures. The qualification is designed principally for those who are, or intend to be, food handlers working in catering. It is also appropriate for those providing service to catering premises including care homes, hospitals, nurseries and schools.

This course will be offered at the Bridlington campus on 4 May, 2022, Course Code PS201/1, 9.30am to 4.30pm or at the St James Centre, Hull on 25 May, Course Code PJ108/1

This course will also be offered at the St James Centre, on Wednesday, 27 July, 9am to 5pm, Course Code PJ049/1 but will be at the full cost of £55.
