Level Two NVQ Diploma in Food Production and cooking
The level two NVQ Diploma in Food Production and Cooking is suggested to be for candidates working within local authority catering, school meals, residential and care homes, the National Health Service (either as contractors or direct caterers, licenced retail outlets and the public house chains that cook to a set menu with prepared food and dishes). This qualification is designed for caterers who do not work with fresh produce on a daily basis and that the majority of their food and ingredients are pre-prepared / pre-packed.
What will I study?
There are a minimum of 40 credits that must be achieved.
10 credits from the mandatory units
16 credits from optional section A
14 credits from optional section B
The optional units are chosen which are relevant to the candidates work and job role, but also to co-incide with the type of organisation that they work in. (Your assessor will support you with this aspect.)
How will I be assessed?
This qualification can be delivered and assessed in the workplace and the assessor will visit once a month for aproximately 2/3 hours.
