TAQA Level Three Award Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement
This qualification enables trainers and assessors to assess work of candidates on a vocationally related (non - competence based) course. Awarding bodies recommend that assessors hold this qualification as evidence of training in assessment practice
What will I study?
Assessing candidates on programmes through the use of a wide range of sources of evidence.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is through observation, professional discussion, written and oral questions and the product evidence produced in a portfolio.
You need to be occupationally competent with recent, relevant knowledge and experience in the area you wish to train and assess. This must meet the qualifications as stated by the standards setting body. You must be working with candidates on a vocationally related programme of study and be able to assess all assessment methods involved with a minimum of two candidates. You must have an internal audit system in place.
