Understanding Contracts of Employment

This course will look in depth at developing an understanding of contracts of employment.. It is crucially important for all Union Representatives to have a good working knowledge of contracts of employment as many of the individual and collective issues they will deal with will be linked to terms and conditions, and this course will give Union Representatives that in depth knowledge.

What will I study?

It will look at how contracts are made, what information they need to contain, the different types of terms within contracts, how contracts can be changed or varied, where and how trade union collective agreements impact on individual contracts and the status of the contract of employment in UK law.
