Virtual Open Events in 2020

Why not join us on our Facebook page for a virtual open event!

We are holding virtual events in June so late applicants still get the chance to chat to tutors and get a feel for what it might be like to study at East Riding College. Click the date below to go to Facebook and register your interest in the event...

Tuesday 16 June 4-7pm (Beverley focus)

Tuesday 23 June 4-7pm (Bridlington focus)

During a virtual open event we will post to our Facebook page:

  • all the information you would usually be able to access at an open event
  • virtual tours of the campus
  • 360 photos of the teaching rooms, workshops and other facilities
  • video messages from key staff
  • information about transport options
  • information about support services

Plus, tutors will be online to answer any of your questions - you just need to post a comment (public) or message us via Facebook to chat to a tutor.  We can arrange for someone to email you, call you or video chat with you about your course.

Finally, if you haven't applied already, you can get help to apply online on the night.

Or APPLY NOW - every applicant will receive a formal offer.

Our virtual events cover all course areas.  Find out more about:

  • Advanced level courses
  • Apprenticeships
  • Vocational (practical, hands-on) training
  • Higher Education (degrees, HNDs etc)
  • Access to Higher Education
  • Adult Learning (retraining for a new career, getting qualified, or studying just for fun!)
  • Professional qualifications
  • Teacher training
  • Short courses
  • Skills support (for the unemployed or those who have been made redundant)

Information for parents

There are national rules on staying in education or training until aged 18.

This does not mean that young people have to stay in school, but means they can choose from one of the following options:

  • Full-time education, including a course at College
  • An apprenticeship
  • Part-time education or training alongside employment, self-employment or volunteering

You can visit our Facebook page and take part in our virtual open event and ask questions too!
