East Riding College has recently launched a new Social Care Cadetship scheme to be run in partnership with East Riding Adult Social Services.
Mark Keen said "the scheme is mainly aimed at 16-18 year olds who are interested in pursuing a career in Social Care. The Cadets will follow a one year full-time programme at East Riding College, consisting of Btec First Diploma in Health & Social Care and Key Skills. The Cadets will also have a range of placement opportunities within the East Riding Adult Social Services".
This innovative scheme can give Cadets the opportunity to progress into employment or further study. The scheme will be launched from September 2006 at Gallows Lane, Beverley and St Mary's Walk, Bridlington. Applications are being accepted now.
