Principal and Chief Executive, Derek Branton, presented an upbeat report on the success of the College during the last year and the Chairman of the Corporation, David Thacker, welcomed student award winners, and local employer sponsors from all parts of the East Riding.

Derek Branton said "The College has had a very successful year, it has met its ambitious targets related to increased participation and quality standards. The College enrolled 1,500 full-time learners and over 9,000 part-time learners, a significant increase compared to the previous year. The success rates of our learners are now above FE college averages in all areas. Our commitment to partnership, particularly involving local employers and industry, has been key to the College's success. Collaboration with schools in the East Riding continues to develop and has extended the choice open to young people to enhance their vocational learning opportunities".

All the awards given at the ceremony were sponsored by local employers many of whom attended the event.
