'Trendvision' Wella Competition Takes Place at College Hairdressing Salons
11th April 2006 8:49am - Return to press releases
NVQ Level 2 Hairdressing students at East Riding College in Bridlington and Beverley have recently taken part in an in-house Wella Hairdressing competition called 'Trend vision'.
As part of the competition, students had to pick a theme and then style models hair in the essence of that category. The themes on offer were Gothic Luxury, World Fusion, Real Daydream and Techno Nature.
Once the styles had been created, photos of the models were taken and then a representative from Wella came to the College to judge the photos. Comments made by the judge included that all of the entrants were of excellent standard and that it was a very difficult decision to pick the final winners.
The prizes given were for 1st, 2nd and third place on both the Bridlington and Beverley sites. The 1st prize was a bottle of Ted Baker perfume, 2nd prize was a professional hairdryer from Wella and 3rd prize was professional hair tongs from Wella. All of the winners also received hair products from the 'Wella SP' range.
The winners were as follows
Bridlington site winners:
1st Prize - Claire Wainwright from Bridlington
2nd Prize - Lenita Hicken from Bridlington
3rd Prize - Helen Armstrong from Driffield
Beverley site winners:
1st Prize - Michael Astill from North Ferriby
