Students on the East Riding College Support Programmes have raised ?800 for two worthwhile charities.

East Riding College students on supported programmes have gained first hand experience of running a business. Team Enterprise students raised £800 for two worthwhile charities 'Hearing Dogs for The Deaf' and NSPCC.

Tutor Lydia Kelly said "A variety of fund raising events took place over the year, which included raffles, tombolas, making and selling greetings cards and selling of 'FairTrade' goods. The students also arranged a drama production of FAME which was extremely entertaining. I am so proud of the Team Enterprise students who worked really hard to make the initiative a success and benefited greatly from having real life experience of running a business".

Cheques will be presented to the two charities on Tuesday 27th June 2006.
