East Riding College Student Scoops Top Marketing Award

East Riding College student, Heather Bullock scooped the Top Student Award in the North East Region for her performance in the CIM Introductory Certificate in Marketing assessments.
Heather, who currently works within the administration and sales department at Caylyne Cabinets, Hornsea, studied on the CIM Introductory Certificate in Marketing. Heather attended the course during the evening whilst continuing to work during the day. The course gives a broad insight to the world of marketing and allows successful students to progress onto The Certificate in Marketing course.
Heather said ?I enjoy my job but wanted to learn another aspect, so I decided to study on the marketing course. I had no experience or knowledge in marketing and I am delighted that I have achieved this award.? As part of the course Heather had to complete 2 written assignments and complete 1 assignment on-line. Heather scored the top marks out of all of the students studying at the Introductory Certificate Level in the whole of the North East Region. Heather tells us ?I have enjoyed the course so much that I will be progressing to the Certificate in Marketing starting in January?.
Heather was presented with a ?25 Book Token and Certificate of Achievement by Sara Holtby, Chair of the CIM Humber Region on November 13th 2006, along with the other top achievers in the Certificate in Marketing, Diploma in Marketing and Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing categories.
East Riding College tutor,Jayne Jessop told us?.?Heather is a conscientious student who participated in class, was enthusiastic and completed her assignments on time. I?m proud to have taught Heather and to see how far she has come, considering she didn?t have any previous knowledge of marketing. I look forward to teaching her again on the Certificate in Marketing course in January.?
