Students from East Riding College visit the KC Stadium and the University of Hull.

40 East Riding College students on the National Diploma in Sport took a trip to Hull to visit the KC Stadium and Hull University.

The trip was funded through the Aimhigher project to give students an insight to University life. They were given a tour by a current sports undergraduate student, focusing on the wonderful sports facilities available at Hull University. The Head of Admissions for Sport gave a presentation, during which he answered all the student's questions regarding the grades needed to enable them to go to Hull, as well as additional support that may be required.

Chris Young, Sport Student said "I was already planning on going to University and I was looking at either Lincoln or Hull. I now know that I really want to go to Hull. I like the campus and the sports facilities. It is also local so I don't have to go far from home."Next the students visited the KC Stadium. The visit consisted of a guided tour of the stadium including the locker rooms, VIP boxes and the actual stadium itself.
Tanya Blake, Aimigher Project Officer said "The trip was a huge success and many of the students felt it had really inspired them to work hard and go on to University. For other students the trip helped them make very important decisions about their future. All the students did a very good job of representing East Riding College."
