Sport Students at East Riding College organised and delivered a cricket workshop for pupils at Molescroft School in Beverley.
The Students are studying on the first year of the BTEC National Diploma in Sport Development & Fitness. Additional qualifications undertaken alongside the full time programme include the Community Sports Leader Award.
For this award the students organised 2, one hour workshops for 60 children in years 3 and 4. A planning session was held before the event to discuss what equipment would be needed, how the groups of children would be organised, a leader for each group and to run through the rules of the game. The school children had a warm-up session first, followed by batting and bowling.
School Tutor said ?The students acted professionally and were well organised. The children had lots of fun and enjoyed the workshop?.
Adam Swann, Sport Student said ?I really enjoyed my time at Molescroft Primary School, I have learnt a lot from coaching and I would like to thank all the staff and pupils for letting us come?.
