The Festival attracted thousands to the market town of Beverley to celebrate and raise awareness of all the local suppliers providing produce such as dairy products, fruit and vegetable and meat.

Attendees of the festival were attracted to the College?s stall in the Food Theatre Marquee by the culinary skills of Dave Leaf, a tutor from the College. Throughout the day, Dave provided demonstrations on how to make healthy meals using locally produced ingredients, which were available to sample.

The College received a lot of interest at the festival regarding the College?s Restaurant and the number of courses offered, both full and part time. As part of the day, a competition was run which provided ten lucky individuals with complementary tickets to have the chance to taste the delights of the College Restaurant.

Sue Robson, Head of Leisure and Hospitality said ?I would to thank Waitrose who supported East Riding College by providing the majority of the food products used on the day. I would also like to thank the public for taking part and making the day successful and enjoyable for everyone?.

The College enjoyed the Festival and received so much positive feedback that they are already discussing ideas for next year.
