Hairdressers Compete for Blackpool Championships

Hairdressing students at East Riding College took part in an in-house competition to earn a place at the Blackpool International Hairdressing Championships on 17 March.
The students competed in three categories Bridal, Commercial Blow Dry and Avant Guard.
The overall Winner was Naomi Kinniard - Bridal section, with Ann-Marie Kirby - Bridal section in 2nd place and Gemma Colley - Bridal section 3rd and in 4th place Katrina Broadwell ?Blow Dry section.
Naomi Kinniard, from Pocklington said ?This is the first competition I have entered for Hairdressing and I was both nervous and excited at the same time. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and can?t wait to go to Blackpool.?
Zoe Pearson, Hairdressing Tutor said, ?The student?s standard of work was very high, making it a difficult decision for the judges. Everyone had put in a tremendous amount of work and enthusiasm to achieve their models overall look. Well done to everyone.?
