Masterclass Makeup Artist visits College

Famous celebrity makeup artist Daniel Sandler came to East Riding College to deliver one of his master classes to 200 students.

Daniel is one of the most successful makeup artists in the UK. His work is featured frequently in top fashion and beauty magazines. Beauty journalists seeking cutting edge tips and beauty trends have Daniel Sandler on speed dial. Daniel has over 20 years experience in the industry and got his big break through Mary Quant while attending the London College of Fashion. He has worked with many famous celebrities and fashion designers such as Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss and Gucci, as well as being a regular expert on television.

Four lucky students were models for Daniel, who created four very different looks. Sonia Cadenhead ? Fantasy Look, Kelly Partridge ? Classic Look, Louise Hammond ? Glamour Look and Jessica Peterson ? High Fashion.

Sonia Cadenhead, aged 20 from York said, ?It was great having my makeup done by a professional. I felt wonderful and I picked up a lot of good tips.?

The event was funded by Aimhigher; a national initiative which strives to raise learners aspirations.

Daniel Sandler said, ?We didn?t have Aimhigher when I was at school, so you are very lucky to have an opportunity like this. Listen to your tutors and work to make your dreams come true. Decide what it is that you want to do then commit yourself 100% to that goal.?
