Chest Waxing for Charity with Neil Jamieson and Beauty Students from East Riding College.

Students at East Riding College have raised ?70 towards their continual sponsorship of two young children, Sourou-Nere aged 7 from Togo on the West African coast and Nasma aged 4 from Bangladesh.

The Health & Social Care students researched on the internet for new and creative ideas for fundraising. One idea that appealed to their enthusiasm was male waxing.

They approached Neil Jamieson, aged 22 from Hornsea who is studying on the BTEC National Diploma in Sport, to ask if he would be agreeable to take part in the waxing session. Students studying on the NVQ Beauty course carried out the waxing treatment on Neil.

Neil Jamieson said, ?I was very happy to help in this very worthwhile fundraising event. The waxing was not as painful as I first thought and I would be more than willing to repeat the event again.?

Kat Lee, Health & Social Care course tutor said, ?Neil was a very good client and took the event in the good spirit it was meant. The students have enjoyed researching and organising different fundraising activities.?
