28th August 2008 10:07am - Return to press releases

There is still time to enrol on East Riding College?s part-time courses which start in September.

There are more than 250 courses in the College?s latest guide, with subjects including Accounting, Play Work, Welding, Aromatherapy, Languages and Teaching.

There are sections on Basic Skills, such as Literacy and Numeracy, and IT, from basic computing to more advanced courses.

The guide also contains courses for employers with training needs in subjects such as Food Safety, First Aid and Health and Safety.

Courses range from half-day short courses to three-year programmes and from entry level to degree level.

Principal Derek Branton said: ?People take our part-time courses for all sorts of reasons, whether it?s progressing in their career or simply wanting to learn something new.

?We have advice and guidance staff who can give you information on everything from finance and child care to whether a particular course is right for you.

?Just give us a call or drop in to one of our sites.?

Most of the courses start in September but there is a selection beginning in 2009 and many which can be done at any time.

The part-time course guide is available from East Riding College sites in Gallows Lane, Beverley, St Mary?s Walk, Bridlington, Lancaster Road, Carnaby, and St James Street, Hull.

It can also be downloaded from www.eastridingcollege.ac.uk

The College?s new full-time and higher education course guides, both for courses starting in autumn 2009, will be out in September 2008.
