Book your tickets early for charity event

30th March 2009 3:50pm - Return to press releases

Tickets are selling quickly for a fundraising event held by East Riding College business students in aid of Dove House Hospice.
The Beverley-based year-two BTEC National Diploma students are organising a charity ball and auction for up to 300 people to raise funds for and awareness of the Hull-based charity.
It will be held in the Kingston Suite at the KC Stadium, in Hull, on Saturday, April 25, from 7.30pm until 1am.
Tickets have now gone on sale and are already being snapped up by supporters of the charity.
As part of the event, there will be an auction of items and promises. Donations already received include a ride in a Ferrari F430 Spider, a Dolce and Gabbana handbag, a chauffeur for two nights, a handmade bespoke cashmere jumper/cardigan, a family portrait, a gold watch, two pairs of football tickets, a meal for four and a hair and beauty voucher.

Lecturer Ellen Smuts said: "The students are working hard to organise this worthwhile event.
"The evening promises to be a fun and enjoyable occasion so I would advise people to book tickets early to avoid disappointment."

The students are appealing for further donations for the auction, such as restaurant meals, beauty treatments, designer clothes, collectibles, memorabilia, limousine rides and promises of services.
Tickets cost £25 per person, to include a three-course meal and disco. To make a donation or for more information, call Ellen Smuts on 0845 120 0037 or email [email protected]
