Sign up now for free higher education sessions

21st April 2009 4:05pm - Return to press releases

Only a few days remain before a series of free sessions begin on foundation degrees at East Riding College.
The six-week "bite size" sessions enable prospective students to find out how the course could benefit them, the kinds of subjects they will study and the tutors who will be teaching them.
Alison Gray, curriculum development manager at the College, said: "These bite size sessions will provide people with an interesting introduction to four of our foundation degrees.
"They are relaxed, informal, and free, and you don't have to commit to anything. Just come along and find out more."
The sessions are being put on by the College, in conjunction with YHELLN, the Yorkshire and Humber East Lifelong Learning Network.
The bite size sessions will be held at the College's Gallows Lane campus in Beverley  and will start on the following dates:

  • Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Policy and Practice - starts Tuesday, April 28
  • Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care - starts Tuesday, April 28
  • Foundation Degree in Business Management - starts Tuesday, April 28
  • Foundation Degree in Automotive Technologies - starts Wednesday, May 6

Each weekly session will last two to three hours and will start at 6pm.
