15th June 2009 11:59am - Return to press releases
People who would like to find out more about the Award in Tackling Substance Misuse: Practitioner level three run by East Riding College can find out more at an open event this month.
The event starts at 6pm on Thursday, June 25, and will be held at the College's campus in Gallows Lane, Beverley.
The Award in Tackling Substance Misuse is a practice-based qualification which aims to develop and enhance the skills of practitioners already working in the substance misuse field.
This qualification has been developed in line with the Drug and Alcohol National Occupational Standards (DANOS).
Course tutor Norma Howarth, who will host the open evening, said: "This event will be an informal opportunity for people who work in the field of substance misuse to find out more about this course, whether it's suitable for them and where it can lead.
"Anyone is welcome to drop in for a chat and to see where the course is held."
The event will last approximately one hour and will include a short presentation and the opportunity to ask any questions about the course and the College facilities.
The cost of the course is £575, and it will run for 30 weeks, one evening per week starting in September.
