Contractors Wates handed over the stunning building this week, though they will continue to work on site to demolish the old college building and clear the debris before creating a sports pitch and multi-use games area.
Staff are now preparing the new building to welcome its first intake of students in September.

John Doris, the College's director of resources, said: "I'm delighted we are now moving into the new campus and I am absolutely overwhelmed by the quality of the building and its facilities.
"Outside, the building is inspirational in design; inside it sets new standards for delivering a quality education. The people of Bridlington have a college that they can be truly proud of.
"We are really looking forward to welcoming the first students and members of the public to this impressive building at the open days later this month and also as the autumn term starts in September."

Members of the public will have the chance to look round the new campus with a member of College staff at three open events on the following dates:

  • Saturday, August 22, from 10am to 1pm
  • Thursday, August 27, from 2pm to 7pm
  • Friday, August 28, from 2pm to 4pm

Teaching staff will not be available during the open events, although advice and guidance officers will be present from 2pm to 4pm on August 27 and 28.
The new campus has been built on the grassed area at the College's St Mary's Walk campus. The existing buildings will be taken down when the new ones are completed.
