28th April 2010 11:45am - Return to press releases
Media students at East Riding College are hosting an interactive exhibition on May 5 from 10am to 5.30pm at the Beverley Arms Hotel.
Eight students, who are studying on the final year of the BA in Digital Media in conjunction with Hull University, are involved in this exciting and innovative project.
The aim of the event is for the students to showcase their work for the purposes of careers networking and to interact with prospective employers. The work on display will include web design, 3D design and video editing.
Ben Potter, 21 from Driffield said: "As a student, this is an opportunity to showcase my specialty in audio visuals to future employers and allows my fellow students to do the same. This is great for us and the surrounding student communities."
Course leader Gareth Sykes said: "This is an excellent opportunity for the degree students to showcase their advanced skills to prospective employers.
"They have a range of abilities that cover web design, motion graphics, animation, digital video, photography and 3D design".
Nick Jensen, a tutor at East Riding College said: "These events are particularly useful for developing future contacts and to get a foot in the door of a well-known industry.
"Former students have even gone on to have careers working as far afield as Beijing."
