The open events are a chance to talk to tutors, find out more about courses and have a look round the College's buildings. They are suitable for school leavers and adults, whether they are considering a full-time, part-time or higher education course.
They will be held as follows:

  • Tuesday, May 11, 4pm to 7pm at Gallows Lane, Beverley
  • Tuesday, May 18, 4pm to 7pm at St Mary's Walk, Bridlington

Principal Derek Branton (pictured) said: "This is an important time of year for people who are thinking about their future, whether they are young people considering their options for the next academic year or adults who are looking to improve their CV or change career.
"Coming to our open events will help you find out how East Riding College can help you progress on to university, get the skills you need for work and enhance your prospects for promotion."

There will be tutors present from all subject areas who will answer questions and chat about the courses, as well as help with completing application forms. Visitors will be able to take a look at the excellent IT facilities which have benefited from a recent £1.5m investment in the latest information learning technologies and virtual learning environments at the Beverley and Bridlington campuses. People who go to the Bridlington event will be able to see the new £17m campus, which opened in September.
