Simon Firth, Maria Braithwaite, Robert McNulty and Kieran Davey gained their National Indoor Climbing Achievement Scheme Level One Climbing Certificates at Rock City in Hull.
The four regularly attend the College's "enrichment" programme, a series of activities which normally take place on a Wednesday afternoon.

Enrichment co-ordinator Andy Fox said: "Simon, Maria, Robert and Kieran have all been really enthusiastic about climbing and were keen to go for the level one award.
"This qualification was only introduced last year and is approved by the British Mountaineering Council, and all four students hope to carry on to complete level two next term."
