Amber Sutton, Zachary Percival, Sam Hart, Jess Newton, Megan Bruce, Rebecca Whittaker, Holly Barber and Judith Ravu, along with enrichment officer Tracy Underwood, spent two hours helping customers on Saturday.
The total they raised was £373 which will be donated to the air ambulance, which relies on contributions to keep it running.

Tracy said: "The students did a great job and were a credit to the College, and lots of customers commented on how helpful and polite they were.
"I'd like to thank all the customers for their generosity and M&S for giving us the opportunity to raise a good sum of money for one of our chosen charities."

The air ambulance is one of two charities of the year selected by the College's Student Association, with the other being Cancer Research UK.
