Photo. Students who raised money by bag packing.jpgA group of East Riding College student volunteers raised nearly £600 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance by packing customers’ bags at the M&S Simply Food store in Beverley.
Enrichment officer Tracy Underwood said: “This is a fantastic total from a very busy day and I’m really grateful to M&S Simply Food for the opportunity to do this for a second time.
“We received a lot of positive comments about the students from M&S and the shoppers. They did a great job.”
The latest fundraising effort followed a similar event in January at the same store which raised £350 for the same charity.
