Higher education open eventProspective higher education students can find out more about East Riding College’s degrees and other courses at open events this month.
Lecturers will be on hand to discuss the degrees, foundation degrees, teacher training and higher national certificates and diplomas on offer at the College.
Guidance officers will be available to talk about issues such as tuition fees and student loans, which are now available for part-time courses, in addition to full-time courses.
It follows the recent expansion of the College’s range of higher level courses and the setting of fees at affordable levels in comparison to universities.

Mark Keen, assistant director for higher education, said: “This is an opportunity for people to find out more about the benefits of staying local for their higher education course, especially in light of the new university fees, which average £25,000 over a three-year degree.
“Higher education at East Riding College gives you greater contact with and support from lecturers, our student satisfaction rates are excellent and our course fees really are affordable.”

This month’s open events will take place on May 12 at Gallows Lane, Beverley, and May 19 at St Mary’s Walk, Bridlington, both from 9.30am to noon.
The College will be open for tours and light refreshments will be available from the refectory. For more information, visit or call 0845 120 0037.
